Birth Options

Words cannot describe how grateful I am for Leila. When I first found out I was pregnant I heard about Leila through a sorority sister of mine. My mother and partner were both against it, they felt I didn’t need a doula. But I still followed my gut. Leila took her time to get to know me and learned what I envisioned my birth to be like. She was an amazing support system through my pregnancy. Once in labor she knew what to do and say to calm me down and bring my focus back. Being pregnant during this pandemic wasn’t easy and laboring was even harder. I started at home and then birth center. Due to certain circumstances I had to be transferred to the hospital. Having to make the difficult decision of choosing only one person to accompany me I chose Leila. My partner and my mom after seeing how helpful she was hours leading up to the transfer agreed she was the best choice. I am still speechless on how amazing she was during everything. She was a constant reminder that I was in control of my labor. I honestly feel every woman deserves the right doula and Leila is phenomenal!! Both my mother and partner now understand the importance of a doula and how she helps bring out that fire inside of us and remind us mom that we are made for this. I’m so thankful for her!!
